Warm Welcome wins a 2024 Third Sector Award

Wonderful news, Warm Welcome Spaces have been recognised in the 2024 Third Sector Awards for Breakthrough of the Year. Every Warm Welcome Space can celebrate this remarkable achievement—they are the award-winning stars.

David Barclay, Warm Welcome Campaign Director, said: “This is such incredible news! We are so chuffed that Warm Welcome has won this award because it is just recognition for our incredible Warm Welcome Spaces.”

“In the face of the biggest cost of living crisis in 75 years, thousands of community groups disregarded their own financial challenges and energy bills and threw open their doors to offer welcome to people struggling to make it through the winter."

“And in the last two years they have become a mighty movement for hope and community connection, with dozens of national organisations working together to resource and champion them.”

“It has been an absolute privilege to be involved in it all, and today is a huge boost as we seek to make sure that everyone in this country has access to a local Space made by and for the community!”
